Damen Digital Solutions is divided in three main activities: On board automation, remote monitoring and simulations. These technologies together enable a long-term vision toward autonomous functionalities.
By analyzing current operations and reporting performances we give insights in subjects as fuel consumption, emissions, utilization. This way we can support the ship owners making their fleet more sustainable and profitable.
To further professionalize our business, Damen Digital Solutions is now looking for a Project Manager Remote Monitoring to join the team in The Netherlands.
The role
As a Project Manager you will be coordinating the planning, preparation and execution of the initial installation of both our Triton system on board of vessels and the subscription based Triton services. You will start to work from a specification with a budget and you will make sure all the conditions are met. When information is missing you will make sure how and where to get it. To achieve the best results you will be leading a project team consisting of colleagues, stakeholders, etc. in order to achieve an effective and efficient way of working in accordance with quality standards, environmental and safety regulations.
As the Project Manager you will be in close contact with your stakeholders e.g. the client, the engineering department, etc. You will make sure all information is available and you secure the availability of components and recources to support and / or install the system.
In your role as a full time Project Manager you have good communicating skills, enthusiasm for, and affinity with complex data systems on board of our vessels.
With this, and your sales colleague, you will be able to open new opportunities for our customers.
Key accountabilities
- Organizing and executing a project from acceptance to delivery;
- Drawing up, monitoring and updating project planning in consultation with new build project managers and contractors in order to draft an overall project plan;
- Optimize scope and deliverables to utilize budgets as efficient as possible with client and commercial colleagues during the project;
- Providing a technical, financial and process evaluation and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Skills & experience
- A Bachelor degree (HBO) completed in Maritime Engineering, Systems Engineering or relevant equivalent;
- Project Management experience;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
- You enjoy working in a team, are effective at planning and organizing, willing to learn new skills sets, and you are results focused;
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language;
- Availability of 40 hours per week.
