The role

As an HR Business Partner at Damen Yachting, you will serve as a vital link between various departments within our yachting division. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at fostering employee engagement, enhancing absence management practices, elevating the implementation of Workday, driving organizational changes, and more.

You are directly reporting to the HR Manager. The HR team is consisting of two HR Business Partners and one HR Generalist.

Key accountabilities

  • Act as a HR partner for multiple departments within the yachting division.
  • Cultivate employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Together with the HR team you work on improving absenteeism management and sustainable employability. You are the case manager for absenteeism within your area of responsibility.
  • Contribute to the ongoing rollout and optimization of Workday, ensuring its effective integration and utilization across the organization.
  • Monitor HR strategies, systems, and policies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements as necessary.
  • Strive for continuous improvement within HR, seeking opportunities to refine processes and practices to better serve the organization.
  • Take charge of guiding performance management and development processes, providing support and direction to managers and employees alike.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and initiatives, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Drive organizational changes in line with Damen Yachting’s values and key objectives.

Skills & experience

  • Master or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR roles, preferably gained in a comparable industry, with a strong focus on business partnering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both written and verbal
  • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, coupled with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • In-depth understanding of HR practices and their impact on business operations.
  • Naturel interest and familiarity with HRIS systems and HR Analytics, is desirable.
  • Ability to work in Vlissingen
